A cat
In the garden,
Its fur
Like a glaze,
Its tail
As confused
As a bird
In a maze.
The cat
Makes no sound,
But its sight
Is a symphony,
Clarinet whispers
And breath
Like a timpani.
So calm
In the garden,
Not wanting,
Not needing.
It sighs
And it sleeps
Until it’s time
For its feeding.
