Wind Song by Edwin Orr Denby

When I walk in the street
Nothing touches me feet,
When I fell a wall
There is nothing at all,
When I look at a face
There is only space;
And what I press
Is emptiness.

When I listen to laughter
I hear silence after,
When I hear crying
It’s emptiness dying,
When I grasp them with hands
They slip like sands;
And flesh there
Is less than air.
